Volunteers are needed with Classic cars to bring along to Invoy St Ferny Grove to join a display classic cars and enjoy the celebrations at the 2015 Ferny Grove Festival. Please ring and or text Joe Sweeney to confirm a display parking for your classic between 3pm to 6pm. Safe parking can be arranged if your wish to attend the fireworks and evening festivities.
Ferny Grove State School has been a central part of the local community for 140 years?
It will be celebrating this milestone at the 2015 Ferny Grove Festival on 10 October 2015. They are looking for past students of Ferny Grove State School to help mark this important milestone at the Festival. Do you have any old photos, memorabilia or stories of past Festivals that you would like to share with our community? There will be building a montage of stories and images of the School’s history to display at the Festival. To share your memories of Ferny Grove State School, email images, photos of memorabilia or stories to fernygrove140@gmail.com. Just so you know the building with the Union Jack was the school building at Ferny Grove in the early 1900's - come and help us celebrate 140 years in our community!
For the day though, the gate entrance is on Archdale St off McGinn Rd Ferny Grove. The Red X on the map. We will have the cars displaying where the green is on the map. At 6pm we have to move the cars as the fireworks will be setup there after they move. We will have a car park reserved for them up off Finvoy St (Marked in Pink) for those that want to hang around for the bands and fireworks.
